GoPro has also revealed some important updates, especially for the latest Hero 9 Black. The 1.5 firmware increases the download speed of smartphones by up to 30% through the GoPro application, saving valuable transfer times. It also improved Hypersmooth 3.0 cold performance, added a slo-mo shortcut slider, improved GPS blocking accuracy, and introduced a 3.5mm pro microphone stand with an adapter. Finally, GoPro has added live streaming support with Max Lens Mod, allowing you to use Hypersmooth stabilization, an ultra-wide 155-degree Max SuperView perspective, a lock in the horizon in the live streaming room.
Firmware updates for Hero 8 Black and GoPro Max also improve wireless transfer speeds by 15 and 20%, respectively. You will need to update the firmware for all these cameras to use the remote control as well. The remote is now available on the North American GoPro website for $ 80 and will come to other regions in February 2021.
