GOP leaders rip Biden’s ‘hard to watch’ first press

Republicans slam President Biden after his first solo press conference Thursday, with a senator calling the entire event “hard to watch.”

A number of GOP lawmakers have focused on the commander in chief’s comments about the border, most notably blaming his predecessor, former President Trump, for the migrant crisis.

“Thousands of children are making the dangerous journey across Central America because they believe President Biden will grant them amnesty when they arrive in the United States,” said Kevin McCarthy, majority leader of the house (R-Calif.) tweeted next to video van Biden who asks a question about the migrant wave.

“When confronted with these facts, he flatly denies any responsibility. This is Biden’s border crisis. “

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Tx.) Also focused his anger on Biden’s immigration comments, retweeting a video of the president who seemed to suggest to the press that he would not allow cameras into migrant facilities until after addressing the issues reporters wanted to see.

“Real transparency from Biden would be to immediately open the Donna facility to press with a capacity of 1,556%,” wrote the border state senator.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), a former friend of the commander in chief from his days in the Senate, went after Biden on two fronts, rejecting his immigration policy, questioning his awareness of the crisis itself.

“With all due respect, this press conference is hard to watch. The misinformation President Biden gives about immigration is astonishing. Obviously, he doesn’t have the situational awareness he needs to understand what’s going on at the border or how to fix it, ”he wrote in one of a series of tweets

“What is sad is that President Biden does not understand the basics of the current dynamics at the border and the pull factors of illegal immigration,” he continued

The National Republican Senatorial Committee, the GOP campaign roof of the Senate led by Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla.), Tweeted a video of one of Biden’s many gaffes to the press.

“I’ve never been worse at calculating how I got things done in the United States Senate. So the best way to get something done is if you, when you’re close to you and dear to you that you still enjoy being able to, ” Biden said in the video, walking away.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Co.) wondered why reporters suddenly acted with decorum, after four years of rough debates back and forth between then-President Donald Trump and the press force.

Where don’t all reporters interrupt him as they have done to Trump for the past four years? It’s almost as if the questions were written. It’s a big fraud and the American people know it, ”wrote the Colorado pol.

Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer noted the lack of topics covered and the courtesy of the members of the media chosen to participate in the press.

“The president took 30 (including follow-up) questions from 10 reporter friends for 59 minutes on 5 topics,” Spicer tweeted

Fellow, former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany also noted the kindness of the reporters, write on TwitterRight out of the gate is the White House press corps in front of President Biden.

“It would have been nice if they had routinely shown that level of respect for President Trump.”
