Google’s latest AR trick allows you to try makeup before you buy

Of course, it was hard to try makeup before buying it in 2020. Although I did not experience this directly, I heard that the need to wear a mask in public proves to be a problem (spirit). But don’t worry, Google is here to save the day with a new set of tools to help you visualize makeup from the comfort and safety of your home.

When you search for makeup products in the Google app, you will now be able to see what they look like on your skin tone. Developed in partnership with data partners ModiFace and Perfect Corp, the smart feature will allow you to imagine thousands of offers from brands like L’Oreal and MAC Cosmetics.

Moreover, you can practically try the makeup right from the app to see if it suits you well. Although it is not possible to go out safely and experience these products in person, this could be the next best thing. Finally, Google says it will also show you recommendations from experts and enthusiasts in Google Shopping and your Discover feed. If you like a product, you will be able to easily buy it from the application.

Google’s new shopping tools are being launched for US users this week.
