From the ground up, the Sony Santa Monica studio God of War it was meant to be played from a third-person perspective. But now a user has decided to mix things up and see what the game would look like from a totally different point of view. The result is an interesting one that continues to highlight how remarkable the animation operation in the game is.
Seen in a new video from Speclizer, the user has created a way to show us the world God of War it looks like a first-person vision. The video highlights this perspective through the eyes of a number of different characters in the game, including Kratos, Atreus and Mimir. With so many characters appearing much closer to the screen than normal, thanks to this mode, it’s much more visible to see how realistic the facial animations are. God of War as a whole, overall.
The only disappointment of the video is that we can’t see what the fight itself would look like from this perspective. Obviously, this would probably be a much higher task to start working properly, but unfortunately we will only have to imagine what it would look like. A handful of key scenes from God of War are the only sections that have been highlighted in this video.
It is also worth mentioning that if you check out the video, which is attached above, there are some pretty important spoilers for God of War included. If you haven’t played the game for yourself in some way, you may just want to check out the first few scenes, rather than watch the whole thing. You should also play absolutely God of War if you have the means, because it is one of the best games of recent years.
As for the future God of War, it is said that the next version of the series will be released on PlayStation 5 (and potentially PlayStation 4) this year. Although it does not yet have an official title, God of War: Ragnarok, as many call it, should be displayed more as we progress to 2021.
