DETROIT – General Motors unveiled a fully electric Hummer SUV on Saturday that will exceed $ 110,000 when it goes on sale in 2023. The vehicle will be the co-founder of a future Hummer pickup that is scheduled to go on sale in this fall.
“GMC Hummer EVs have been designed to be the most capable and compelling electric supertrucks of all time,” Duncan Aldred, GMC’s global vice president, said in a statement.
The Hummer EV SUV debuted during an announcement told by NBA star LeBron James during the NCAA Final Four game between the Baylor Bears and the Houston Cougars on CBS.
The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV has the same torque of up to £ 11,500 as the pick-up, however it is estimated to have a range of 50 miles less, 170 horsepower less and it is half a second slower than the pickup due to a smaller battery.

Prices and production by levels are similar to how GM launches the Hummer pickup. A $ 99,995 version will be available a year later, followed by the $ 89,995 and $ 79,995 models in the spring of 2023 and 2024, respectively.

Both also offer a range of off-road parts and features such as adaptive air suspension and “crab mode” that allows it to rotate all four wheels simultaneously, allowing the truck to move almost diagonally.
The SUV, as well as the pickup, is available with GM Super Cruise’s driver assistance system, which allows hands-free driving on more than 200,000 miles of highway with limited access in the US and Canada.
Hummer’s resurrection
The Hummer and SUV will be produced at an assembly plant in Detroit. These are the first Hummers since GM gave up the well-known gas versions in 2010.
