Original story [Thu 11th Feb, 2021 17:30 GMT]: With finished and Predator making an entry into Fortnite, it wouldn’t seem too unrealistic to expect another popular movie franchise from the ’80s to debut in the popular Battle Royale game.
It all started with posting from HYPEX on Twitter containing the image of a new portal that will open on Fortnite Island. This was found in the game’s source code.
Then, a few hours later, the official Fortnite account on Twitter posted an audio clip of Jonesy (a top Fortnite character who currently draws help from various universes as part of the game’s “Zero Point” narrative) sitting down for try and start an old dusty PC.
As you can see, this show is labeled “Reality Log MCP-82” – and, as movie fans will know, MCP means “Master Control Program” in Disney Throne the series, while 82 represents the year in which the original film Tron appeared. “Fighting for Users” clearly refers to the character Tron in the same movie.
Tron received a follow-up in 2010 Tron Legacy, which boasted an amazing soundtrack by the French duo Daft Punk. A TV series called Tron: Uprising, arrived in 2012 and more recently, it was reported that a new film is in development, with Jared Leto involved.

Editor’s note: This post was written by our editor’s son, Noah McFerran, who is currently locked up at home due to the ongoing UK blockade. To overcome boredom, I gave him the chance to write a story about Fortnite, one of his favorite games. I paid him in V-Bucks and sweets for his contribution.
