Mexico City /
Mexicana Gerardo Arteaga scored his first goal in Belgium and did so in the first minute of play in the match that KRC Genk started to win 1-0 against KV Cortrique.
This is good news for Mexican football, as Arteaga made his debut as a scorer in Europe although its natural position is in the defensive zone.
The Guadalajara man opened the scoring with a powerful shot inside the surface, after encountering a ball coming from the far right, Arteaga received and released the left hand for 1-0.
Arteaga shook with this a little the bad moment he is living in Europe, he barely returned to the title for this duel after several days in which he remained on the bench. Genk is second in the Jupiler Pro with 34 points and goes hunting for the Witches who is the leader with 36 units.
