According to the Catalan club’s medical services, the player, the 2-0 author who led the game in overtime, underwent various medical tests on Thursday which confirmed that the injury, fortunately, is not serious, but will make him lose important matches.
And it seems that Piqué was injured alone, during the second part of the extension, in his right knee, the same one who was absent for three months and feared that the central one broke the ligaments again.
This new illness, which will take him out for the next few weeks, will prevent Piqué from playing next Saturday’s league match against Osasuna and the second leg of the second round of the Champions League on Wednesday against PSG.
