Georgia is the fourth state to discontinue the Johnson & Johnson vaccine

A Georgia coronavirus vaccination site became the fourth week in the United States this week to discontinue Johnson & Johnson’s jab after concerns about possible side effects, a report said.

Eight people were dizzy after being shot at Cumming Fairgrounds on Wednesday, although health officials believe this could have simply been caused by hot weather, WSB-TV reported.

“It was a fainting spell,” North Georgia Health District spokesman Dave Palmer told the spokesman.

“We do not think it has anything to do with the vaccine. It’s probably more environmental factors, “said Palmer.

The side effects were caused by less than 2% of the 435 people who received the vaccine on the spot, the report said.

“This facility is hard to cool and we have fans there, but it was a warmer day,” Palmer told the station. “I think the heat could have had an influence on him. We are not alone. ”

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine was also stopped last week at sites in Colorado, North Carolina and Iowa.
