George Hill will finally debut with the Sixers against the Warriors, with Ben Simmons coming out

The Philadelphia 76ers continue their march to No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference on Monday when they take home the Golden State Warriors and there is some good news and some bad news heading for it.

The good news is that George Hill is set to debut the Sixers on Monday, after being acquired in a deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder on March 25. This will be Hill’s first game on January 24 before undergoing a thumb procedure.

“I love him with our team,” said coach Doc Rivers. “I am not happy yet. I just think it’s going to take some time. We’re not going to play it many minutes in a row right now. We’ll just try to ease it back in another week or so, if nothing happens, obviously, then I think we’ll be happy. We can see what we can do. ”

The bad news is that the team will miss Ben Simmons, who will miss the game with a non-COVID disease. The Sixers will now have to fight an explosive Warriors team without the help of the best perimeter defender, but this opens the door for a long time for Hill in his debut.

The Sixers and Warriors will drop out at 19:30 EDT at the Wells Fargo Center.
