Genshin Impact updates its original resin system

The impact of Genshin developer miHoYo today shared a discussion with developers that spans a variety of topics, but most importantly, includes some details about an update to the title’s original resin system. In short, starting with version 1.3, the amount of original resin that players have access to should increase dramatically due to two specific changes. It is not a total solution by any means, but it is something.

If you are unfamiliar, the original resin system is essentially the main timed resource The impact of Genshin. It refreshes over time, but there is a maximum amount that any player can keep simultaneously and, historically, most, if not the final content of the game, such as Outcrops Ley Line, Domains and various events have consumed large amounts of it. As you can imagine, this was a point of frustration for many. But with the new update, practically only the Ley Line tributaries and domains will still cost the original resin.

“All events in version 1.3 that do not require challenges or challenging Ley Line domains will not consume the original resin,” reads the developer’s response. “The vast majority of large-scale events in future releases will not consume the original resin.”

“Our BPs will be adjusted starting with version 1.3 to have additional rewards of brittle resin,” the response continues. Fragile resin is essentially a way to restore the original resin. “Sojourner’s Battle Step and Gnostic Hymn will obtain fragile resin × 1 at 10 levels, starting at level 5, replacing the mystical improvement ores that were originally there. This will not change the total amount of mystical enhancement ore gained through BP. The upgrade ores will be distributed among other levels instead. “

The impact of Genshin is currently available, free of charge, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC and mobile devices. Version 1.2 update “Chalk Prince and the Dragon” recently released and added a completely new area, characters, events and more. The video game will also be released for the Nintendo Switch.
