As the year begins, we slowly hear more announcements. Earlier today, we learned that Evo online will take place in August, and now Gamescom has provided new information about its own plans for 2021.
When it returns on August 24, it will be delivered in a new hybrid show format – with physical and digital elements. The physical part of the show will include an on-site section where a small number of visitors can test new live games, while the rest can connect online.
“We will now focus on superfans and on-site testing of this year’s latest games. At the same time, gamescom 2021 will once again reach millions of people around the world as a result of further digital offerings.”
