* 99.9% chance to return on March 1

LOS ANGELES, 16 FEBRUARY 2021 – After a phenomenal mid-pandemic beta release, the cultural event of Blaseball, an absurd browser-based simulation of baseball featuring very normal events, such as cremations, dishonest referees, and a JRPG-style boss fight against a peanut god, makes its grand return on March 1, just in time for Spring Training 2021. Is this timeline actually relevant? May be. Probably not.

To celebrate the arrival of their next iteration, Beta but better yet, the video game masters from The Game Band thought it would be great to finally hire some public relations people to explain what Blaseball it is close to the larger masses, while highlighting some future features and items that will have an impact next season. Have a snack and clean up, everyone.

See, Blaseball is the D&D of sports. DM is your older brother and you are the chaotic brother with a thirst for power. The game will follow what you and your fans vote for, including bending the rules to the point where new rules are made along the way. Blaseball simulates the seasons at an accelerated pace: with a game every hour and a season every week. Players bet coins on each game, hoping to get rich enough to influence the votes for next season’s post-season election. Then there is renewed chaos and fans have to deal with the consequences of their choices.

New key features:

  • Concessions! Now you can buy snacks! Votes are also snacks.
  • Mysterious weekly team tarot readings.
  • POWER SUPPLY: an easier way to follow events as they happen, so you don’t always play discordant rhythms or on twitter!
  • Highly anticipated Crabitat! Crabs take their park and then [redacted]
  • wills: Deeper strategy for each team. Your community organization will go even further than before.
  • In season and out of season: The new stimulation of 3 weeks on and 2 weeks off, the latter giving fans the dead time they need to be caught with recaps, media and events through The Feed. The game band may even have a few surprise events lined up
About Blaseball

Blaseball is an absurd, player-driven, corruptible baseball game. It is a simplistic simulation of a sport, built into the emptiness of real sports, in which players can view, bet on and contort the league.

The key difference between Blaseball and baseball is the player’s participation. Gambling is allowed and encouraged. Players will win and lose a virtual Blaseball currency by placing bets on games and will cash in their winnings to make changes to the league. Teams, team players, lists and even the rules of the game can be changed by the community.

Blaseball it’s almost baseball. There is only one league of fake teams, with fake players and fake programs. The seasons Blaseball are simulated over several days. Teams will win and lose, stories will appear and Blaseball history will be made.
