From the new Super that stops in time, to Nagoriyuki’s two-edged sword blood mechanic, 4 major landmarks in the last showcase of Guilty Gear Strive

A whole series of new Guilty Gear Strive images dropped just yesterday, when GameSpot released nine minutes of gameplay with Ky, Sol, Axl, Zato-1 and newcomer Nagoriyuki.

I definitely noticed the new Ky Kiske dragon installation technique, but Rooflemonger details this and three other remarkable dishes in the showcase, one of which is an update on how the new and mechanical vampire of the Nagoriyuki blood meter works.

The cyber vampire certainly has a lot of intrigue about him, as he is one of Strive’s list additions to the Guilty Gear franchise and has a unique mechanic who serves as a two-edged sword: his manometer. This gauge fills up during combat and gives the character turbo-charged abilities, but it also drains his life continuously if he fills up.

Rooflemonger points out a fairly large update of this mechanic compared to the little I’ve seen before, especially since the gauge fills up gradually, as opposed to instant pieces. There’s a bit better about this fighter because it was used in the showcase, such as the potential properties of its berserk mode activation sequence, but we’ll let the content creator go into detail there.

Another major point of interest in the filming is Axl Low’s new time showcase, stopping Super. The returning Guilty Gear character now has the ability to freeze his opponents to prepare for a tough combination of choice.

Of course, we only have visuals to analyze here, of course, but it seems that this Super must first be stored before being implemented in action. Axl stores the technique and gets a purple glow around it to indicate that it’s now in play (not all of this unlike M. Bison’s V-Skill 2 in Street Fighter 5), but then activates it and freezes his enemy. apparently anywhere on the screen.

During filming, the maneuver is used while opponents are stunned by previous attacks, which leads us to speculate that Axl will simply not be able to activate this at any time and make it work. Very well, enemies can block the frost if they are not caught in the middle of a combination or in a kind of long start or recover the animation of one of their own attacks.
