LEBANON, Tennessee (WTVF) – Freezing rain and sleet have caused dangerous travel conditions in Tennessee, leading to ice-related accidents.
A multi-vehicle accident blocked traffic lanes west of Highway 40 near Spence Lane for about two hours, but has since been cleared.

Earlier that day, a section of the Interstate 40 West highway was closed in Wilson County after a tractor trailer was stabbed just east of Lebanon. The westbound lanes were closed for about 90 minutes, but have since reopened.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol said that although the highway has been reopened, road conditions remain “frozen.”
Excellent work of all involved, I-40 WB at 243 MM reopened for all traffic. It’s still frozen !!!
