February Playstation plus the games have been officially announced – and honestly, it’s a line-up. We have known for some time that Destruction AllStars will be the main title of February on PlayStation 5, but there are more than next month’s selection.
Control: Ultimate Edition is also part of the business, available on both PS5 and PS4 – an inclusion I’ve never seen. And to top it off, we have Concrete Genie lovingly created on PS4. Not bad, is it?
All three games can be downloaded starting Tuesday, February 2nd. Destruction AllStars will be available for two months, until April 5th.
While we’re not looking at Destruction AllStars yet – keep your eyes peeled for full coverage next week – we recommended Concrete Genie in our 7/10 review:
Concrete Genie is a warm, cheerful experience that embraces creativity in a unique way. Painting your way through Denska is effortlessly fun, and the geniuses who help Ash in his adventure are delightful. Although this main objective of the game is well done, the fight feels like a later thought, because it is hidden right at the end. This and a few minor issues prevent the game from greatness, but taken as a whole, it’s definitely worth playing – and also a nice picture.
Also, we haven’t reviewed the PS5 version of Control: Ultimate Edition yet, but we had fun with the original PS4 version in our 7/10 review:
There is no doubt that Control is a good experience, but it is not one that goes down in history books. Its exploratory and battle-focused game is a major highlight due to the skills that give you the chance to become creative, but the trusty framerate that comes with it puts the pleasure away far too often. This is definitely worth playing, but this is as far as any substantial praise can go.
