Former Yankee David Wells is boycotting MLB for moving the All-Star game

Former Yankee David Wells on Thursday robbed the Major League Baseball decision to move the All-Star game from Atlanta, in protest of the new GOP-led electoral reform bill.

The two-time World Series champion told Fox News Radio’s “The Brian Kilmeade Show” that MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred’s move has forced him to stop watching games.

“I had a lot of relationships with Rob Manfred during the game and I never liked the guy,” Wells said during the interview.

“For me, how do you change the games, the dynamics and how do you hurt a city like Atlanta that really needs some revenue in that situation?” said the left-handed screamer on the show. “I mean Atlanta is a great place to play baseball.”

The controversial measure in March tightened restrictions on absentee voting and allowed the state to take control of local electoral systems.

The bill was seen by Democrats as a move to suppress the votes of minorities in Georgia after the historic red state turned blue for federal elections in 2020. Republicans say the reforms improve the integrity of the election.

SunTrust Park in Atlanta, the original home of the 2021 All-Star MLB game, will now be empty in mid-July, following the cancellation of the event due to the Georgia voting law fiasco.

MLB and the Players’ Association have moved the 2021 Midsummer Classic from the state after critics called on Georgia-based companies to protest the law.

Wells said the decision persuaded him to throw in the towel during America’s fun.

“I don’t watch baseball anymore, Brian,” he said on the radio. “I refuse to follow her because of this. I don’t want to be a part of it, and that’s been my life … For me, I don’t want to go to a baseball game or even watch, kill me, because I can’t stand this kind of crap and I don’t- l tolerates. ”

Wells, who once threw a perfect game for the bombers while “half drunk,” told Kilmeade he would stage his own protest if he continued to play.

Coors Field of Colorado was selected earlier this week as the venue for the MLB All-Star Game after the game was eliminated from SunTrust Park in Atlanta.

“If I were playing right now, Brian, I wouldn’t be wearing that Nike,” Wells said of the clothing company’s agreement with the national anthem kneeler Colin Kaepernick.

“I would snatch it. I would cut a hole in my shirt and I wouldn’t have Nike on anything and, if I had suspended, so be it ”.

“It is [Kneeling for the national anthem is] disrespecting our flag is disrespecting our military boys and I can’t stand it, “Wells said.
