Former USC Trojan offensive lineman Chris Brown has died at the age of 24

LOS ANGELES – Former USC offensive lineman Chris Brown has died at the age of 24, according to Trojan coach Clay Helton.

“I was shocked to hear that we lost Chris Brown today. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Brown family. Chris meant so much to so many. A great person, a player, a teammate and a Trojan. God bless my friend. You are in our hearts forever, “Helton wrote on Twitter.

The cause of death was not immediately available.

Brown arrived at USC in 2014, started his last two seasons (2017-18) and was an honorable mention All-Pac-12 after his junior year. After being indefinite, Brown signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Chargers and eventually played five games for the DC Defenders in the XFL. He was also a perfect musician.

Brown’s death comes less than a year after former USC center Max Tuerk died at the age of 26 from an enlarged heart.
