Former Facebook chief security officer Alex Stamos told Brian Stelter on CNN on Sunday that something must be done to stop conservative rhetoric from reaching tens of millions of Americans.
“People have so many options now,” Stamos complained. “They can choose what their news sources are. They can choose what influencers they want to follow and they can try to seal anything that helps them question that.”
Leftists do not like competition. If it could have a single ministry of truth, such as the one pushed by the AOC, the control of the narrative would be much easier.
Stamos then demanded that conservative voices be removed from social media in the same way that ISIS propaganda was removed from the Internet.
“I think we need to do a few things,” Stamos continued. “First of all, there must be a deliberate work of social media companies, working together to work on violent extremism in the same way they worked on ISIS.”
Stamos recalled how Facebook and other major social media companies worked with the government to ban ISIS, saying the same approach should be taken with conservatives.
“And secondly, we must deny the ability of these influential conservatives to reach these huge audiences,” Stamos continued. “There are people on YouTube, for example, who have a larger audience than CNN during the day and are extremely radical in pushing extremely radical opinions.”
So what? Where in the Constitution does it say that most Americans should listen to the fake CNN news? The last part of his Orwellian plan includes forcing cable providers to remove OANN and Newsmax from their programming.
“And then we will have to realize the problem of OANN and Newsmax,” said the totalitarian. “These companies have freedom of expression, but I’m not sure we need Verizon, AT&T, Comcast and others to bring them to tens of millions of homes. I think that’s where we’re going to have to go here. ”
Of course, if no one can watch a news channel, it will not be in business much, which is the point. In addition, Google is already working to ensure that you can’t find the information. Leftists do not mind conservative speech, as long as no one listens to it.
