For the third time in four days, Utah reported no new deaths due to COVID-19 – but more than 500 new cases in one day.

Over 700,000 Utahns are fully vaccinated; without new deaths.

For the third time in four days, Utah reported no new deaths as a result of COVID-19. And the number of residents who have been completely vaccinated now exceeds 700,000.

At the same time, the number of new coronavirus cases in the state has risen to over 500 for the first time since April 6, and the number of Utahns hospitalized with COVID-19 has increased by 24 in one day – an increase of 16%.

Last day vaccine doses / total doses administered • 30,243 / 1,768,246.

Utahns fully vaccinated • 714,923.

Cases reported the other day • 530.

Deaths reported last day • No one.

Tests reported the other day • 8,155 people were tested for the first time. A total of 19,832 people were tested.

Hospitalizations reported last day • 148. That increased by 24 on Tuesday. Of those currently hospitalized, 59 are in intensive care units – the same as on Tuesday.

Percentage of positive tests • According to the initial state method, the rate is 6.5%. This is lower than the seven-day average of 7.7%.

The new state method counts all test results, including repeated tests of the same individual. Tuesday’s rate was 2.7%, lower than the seven-day average of 3.8%.

Totals so far • 391,177 cases; 2161 deaths; 15,838 hospitalizations; 2,463,704 people tested.
