Two women in Florida wore disguises to look like old “grandmothers” to jump the coronavirus vaccine line. However, the impostors were caught red-handed by the local police.
Dr. Raul Pino, director of the Florida Department of Health in Orange County, said Wednesday that two younger women went to the Orange County Convention Center, which is a vaccination site.
“So, yesterday, we realized that a couple of young ladies came dressed as grandparents to get vaccinated for the second time,” Pino explained. “I don’t know how they escaped for the first time, but they came vaccinated. Caps, gloves, glasses and they were probably 20 years old.”
“Pino said some firefighters helping to check and verify people coming for vaccines noticed some fish, and Pino said he was involved with the Orange County sheriff’s office,” WESH-TV reported.

The state of Florida “gives priority to people aged 65 and over and health care staff with direct patient and resident contact and long-term care facility staff.”
The alleged geriatric tricksters, who wore face masks, were identified by authorities as Olga Monroy-Ramirez, 34, and Martha Monroy, 44.
The sheriff’s office in Orange County released images on camera on Friday about police officers confronting two women who allegedly tried to receive COVID-19 vaccinations claiming to be elderly.

“You know what you did? You stole a vaccine from someone who needs it more than you. And now you’re not going to get the second one. So that’s a whole waste of time that you just got. -I wasted here for this, “the officer is heard telling the con women, according to WTVD-TV.
“If you return, you will be arrested,” the law enforcement officer warned the masked men. “You’re lucky you’re not arrested right now.”
The women were not charged with sneaking into the vaccination site, but were cited for breaking the law.
Pino said health officials are looking at how the women received the first blow, adding that they may have been vaccinated through a loophole or possibly an intern.
The director mentioned that this is not the first time that someone pretends to be an elderly citizen to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. He revealed that a man tried to get a coronavirus fire using the identification of his 65-year-old father.
“This is the coolest commodity there is now,” Pino said of the coronavirus vaccine. “We have to be very careful with the funds and resources that are offered to us.”
Pino said they have added several security cameras to the Orange County Convention Center since the violation.
Nearly 45 percent of the population over the age of 65 was inoculated into Orange County, officials said Thursday.
Florida has administered nearly 4 million coronavirus vaccines.
