Two Florida women posed as elderly people in an effort to get the coronavirus vaccine (COVID-19), according to camera records released Friday.
According to the Florida Department of Health, Dr. Raul Pino, the future scammers showed up on Wednesday at the inoculation site of the Orange County Convention Center “dressed in grandmothers” to get the second dose of the highly sought after pharmaceuticals.
“We didn’t have the weapons to get vaccinated,” Pino told local CBS affiliate WKMG. “We also have people pretending to be old enough to be vaccinated. Yesterday we realized that some young women came dressed as grandparents to be vaccinated for the second time, so I don’t know how they escaped the first time, but they came (to be vaccinated). Caps, gloves, glasses – everything and they were probably 20 years old. ”
According to police, the couple was slightly older than that. One woman is said to be 34 years old, while another is said to be 44 years old.
“There were some issues with IDs and driver’s licenses, but I don’t know all the details about them,” Pino added.
Apparently, the women used their real names, but used false birth dates. Eventually, the law enforcement officers appeared.

Their names were not released in the media and are unlikely to become part of the public record, as the duo do not face charges. No arrests were made and they were warned that their behavior could be charged with a violation.
“Okay, this is a crime warning,” says a deputy sheriff in the filming. “You are hereby notified that you are not authorized or motivated to be in these spaces and may be arrested if you refuse to leave or return at any time in the future to this building or other buildings, in the parking garage. the property here. One of the women then thanked the officers for their leniency, and those who failed the vaccine failed.
“It’s kind of hilarious for a certain sense, but it’s also disappointing because they take the place where someone else might have, with a much greater need, that place,” Pino said before the filming.
He also noted that he was unaware of how they managed to get the first dose – or even if they did.
