Five last minute predictions for the season of the chosen Destiny 2

I’m not exactly sure why I’m doing this, but I’ll predict a lot of things for next season, and then we’ll be able to come back later to see how good or bad I was for everyone. I think there’s a decent amount we can extrapolate from what we’ve seen here so far, and that’s what I can see on the horizon for Destiny 2’s Chosen Season.

1. Caiatl Alliance

We already know the basics of this season’s plot. Caiatl arrives and wants to conclude an alliance, as we both fight against the darkness and Savathun and Xivu Arath. But Zavala will not obey Caiatl, so we will start the fight. But what do we really do? I think the whole plot of this season and the “Battlegrounds” activities in which we fight the “Caiatl Champions” must be a test. I mean, there’s literally something called the Proof Hammer, and the new strike is called the Proof Zones. We prove ourselves to Caiatl as worthy warriors, and I think that yes, we will eventually reach an alliance with Caiatl after showing him his strength. I think he destroyed the Red Legion and playing all of Calus’ games in Leviathan wasn’t enough, but I think that’s where he’s finally going.

2. Exotic Secret Mechanic Exotic is not the first curse

I know there are some First Curse fans who would like to see the gun return, but I don’t think that’s where we’re going. I just had Hawkmoon, another exotic D1 handgun, introduced as the main weapon of the whole last season, so another exotic D1 handgun would feel a little the same. In the past, when Bungie brings back exotic D1s, unless they are buried in a SUPER secret quest like Zero Hour, they are used quite a bit in promotion, Hawkmoon, No Time to Explain and so on. I guess it’s a new Tex Mechanica weapon and mine the hope is that it is the lever rifle that the community has asked for.

3. There is a third exotic secret

I know we have one revealed (Ticuu’s rage) and one shown, but still secret (first curse / not the first curse), but two exotics in a season seem pretty low, and my guess is that there are the least another coming. We also know that three new pieces of exotic armor are coming that have not been shown at all, but my money is on a third exotic to join these two before the end of the season.

4. The apparent heir returns with his catalyst

The Guardian Games are at the end of this season, due to the withdrawal after the Beyond Light delay. It seems pretty obvious that Heir Apparent (the weapon named after Caiatl, no less) will reappear for the event, which is why he was kept outside the exotic kiosk. But I also think that we will eventually get a catalyst for it, because it is presented in the damn art of catalyst for collections. So did Leviathan’s Breath and this got a catalyst last season. Seems like the perfect time for that.

5. Crow will be the vanguard of the hunter until the end of the season

Almost all of my Crow predictions end badly, but we can see that he is an essential part of this season, appearing in scenes with Zavala while dealing with Caiatl. I think this will be a kind of “training period” for him and, in the end, he will win Zavala and take Cayde’s old place once everyone understands that he is no longer the man who killed him. The role has been vacant for two years. It’s time and there really are no other candidates.

Okay, that’s all I have so far. We’ll be back in three months to see how good or bad I was.
