(Reuters) – Facebook Inc. has dropped the “Appreciate” button on its redesigned public pages used by artists, public figures and brands, the social media company said on Wednesday.

Facebook pages will show only followers and will have a dedicated news feed in which users can participate in conversations, interact with colleagues and interact with fans, the company said in a blog post. (Bit.ly/3b8MExI)

“We eliminate Appreciations and focus on Followers to simplify the way people connect with their favorite pages,” Facebook said of the redesign.
