Epic Game Store reveals a new free game available only today

The Epic Games store is currently in the middle of its main holiday discounts, with countless titles on the storefront, seeing some drastic discounts. In addition to discounts, Epic also offers a new game every day for the rest of the year. As for today, the latest free offer from EGS was presented.

Launched earlier today on the Epic Games Store, the new free title available on the market is The long darkness. Developed by Hinterland Studio, The long darkness is a survival game first released in 2017. The title sees you take on the harshness of the outdoors and still receive regular updates to date.

As mentioned, however, if you want to add The long darkness at your own PC library, you need to act quickly. The game is available for free for a period of 24 hours. If you do not go to the store window before tomorrow morning at 11:00 EDT, then this promotion will expire and you will then have to pay the usual retail rate to pick up the game.

The long darkness is only the third title offered by the Epic Games Store as part of this ongoing holiday promotion. The annual offer started just two days ago, as Cities: Skylines and Oddworld: New ‘n Tasty were distributed free of charge on sequential days. It remains to be seen what the program will follow, but it won’t be long before we find out.

If you want to continue with this promotion until the rest of 2020, you can find our coverage of all things Epic Game Store right here.

So what do you think about this offer? You’re going to add The long darkness to your own computer library? And what do you hope to see offered for free in the coming days and weeks? Let me know in the comments or send me a message on Twitter at @ MooreMan12 to talk more.
