Enjoy the natural glory of a deer running through a garage door

With the arrival of spring, the world begins to wake up again. Flowers bloom, birds chirp, and deer tear their bottoms down the alley to slam their heads in the garage doors.

This last wonderful demonstration of the general feeling of optimism and joy of the season was caught on video from the YouTube channel ssnapier through images so stunning that we can almost hear David Attenborough’s narration as he plays. For a few seconds, we see only an alley and a movement in the part of the road whitened by the sun, at the edge of the room frame. Then comes a deer barrelgiven an apparent mission to throw himself as hard as possible in the garage door. The natural majesty of the herd is in full effect as it knocks on the door with a distorted collision just before following a few deer, slipping on the sidewalk, throwing itself on top of each other, then taking back to who knows. -where, their complete goal.

There is silence for a moment before a man’s voice is heard from inside the house shouting at a dog to calm down and then exclaim, with a perfect comedy time: “What the hell?”

Clearly, he is overwhelmed by the beauty of what he was lucky enough to witness: a ballet choreographed by nature and performed with mysterious grace by the beautiful children of planet Earth.

Some people in the video’s comments suggest that the deer could not see where they were going because the sun was too bright and the garage door was painted a light color. This seems very possible, but we also know that it is just as important to properly take the unpredictable art of the natural world as it is to try to explain it with scientific reasoning. How heavy is a description of a rainbow next to seeing it with your own eyes? Does knowing the evolutionary motifs of the cardinal’s bright red feathers help the bird look more amazing? Not. The same is true for this other remarkable display of the spectacular, soul-stirred impulse of an animal crashing into a stationary object at full speed.
