It seems that Eminem gave back to a TikTok campaign, trying to cancel it for “problematic” lyrics in one of his old songs.
The 48-year-old American rapper was on trend popular social networking app after a series of videos highlighted a controversial line from his 2010 song Love The Way You Lie with Rihanna.
In the song, Eminem – whose real name is Marshall Mathers – sings, “I know I’m a liar. If she ever tries to leave again, I’ll tie her to the bed and set this house on fire.”

TikTok users suggested that the lyrics “glorify domestic violence” and called the song “problematic.”
One video says, “Yesssss let’s cancel it,” while another wrote, “No wonder I’m toxic, I grew up listening to this song.”

He shared a clip from the track on Twitter, in which he seems to address directly the scandal with lyrics that he wrote: “I can’t understand a word you say, I’m deaf. I think that’s how I prefer to stay, I’m deaf.
“I will not stop even when my hair turns gray, I am deaf. Because they won’t stop until they cancel me.

The video for Love The Way You Lie, which was directed by Joseph Kahn, sees Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan playing a couple going through an abusive relationship.
At the time of the song’s release in 2010, Terry O’Neill, president of the National Organization for Women, said that Rihanna unwittingly glorifies domestic violence.
“Tell the story and don’t judge it,” O’Neill said. “And so he might not intend to glorify her, but yes.”
Marjorie Gilberg, executive director of the anti-violence group Break the Cycle, agreed.
“The danger is that pop culture defines our social norms,” she told the PA.
“We do not want the message of this song to be that this type of relationship is acceptable.
“So this song needs to be viewed in the context of real adult information, such as parents and teachers.”
