Emergency management intervenes with a man who was about to enter the sea with strong waves

Authorities persuaded a man to give up entering the sea in the Loíza area, given the warning of strong waves for northern Puerto Rico.

“At Loíza we had to guide a person out of the water, because we don’t want anyone in the water. There is a potential danger in these two days, “said Nino Correa, interim commissioner of the State Office for Emergency and Disaster Management.

“At first, the person reacted by clapping, but later, when the colleague approached him, he thanked him and continued,” Correa commented on the person’s reaction when asked to get out of the water.

Correa and Secretary of the Department of Public Safety (DSP), Alexis Torres, visited several beaches on Saturday to guide people who do not enter the sea.
