Less than a month after signing with IMG Models, Ella Emhoff debuted on the track.
Vice President Kamala Harris’ stepdaughter and 21-year-old daughter Doug Emhoff entered the runway for Proenza Schouler at New York Fashion Week on Thursday, modeling a trio of looks: a gray coat with a fluffy wool collar and matching pants, a shiny black leather trench coat, and a sharp black suit worn without a shirt.
The brand filmed the video for the collection two weeks ago at the Parrish Museum of Art in Water Mill, New York.
It seems that Emhoff, who captivated the fashion crowd with his crystal-decorated Miu Miu coat at President Joe Biden’s inauguration in January, is turning into Proenza Schouler’s new muse. On Monday, she took part in a discussion with the label’s designers, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, at Spring Studios – equipped in Proenza, of course.
“It is the story we wanted to tell with the collection. It is the beginning of a new chapter in American history, in the kind of clothes we wear and are attracted to. She’s the breath of fresh air, “Hernandez told WWD before the film’s debut.

Emhoff’s was not the only famous face to appear on Proenza Schouler’s virtual podium; Meadow Walker, the 22-year-old daughter of the late actor Paul Walker, opened the show in a black blazer and a side-slit skirt, just a month after playing in the brand’s Pre-Fall 2021 campaign.
