The following may contain spoilers for Disney + WandaVision. We don’t know yet.

Disney’s first Marvel Cinematic Universe link, WandaVision, quickly went from a weird sitcom parody to a fairy-tale superhero, and star Elizabeth Olsen – half Wanda of that weird title – teases some big, exciting things that are yet to come. TVLine, inspired by Mark Hamill’s digital appearance at the end of the season The Mandalorian, he recently spoke with Olsen and decided to go straight to the show and ask her if there was anything like it (especially “a casting she can’t believe hasn’t passed yet”) that appears in her show. Olsen, who is either very confident or doesn’t care about managing expectations, answered with a simple “yes”. TVLine she says she then laughed and added, “I’m very excited.”

That’s all we have to give up, but it certainly seems interesting. It’s worth noting that it doesn’t sound like Olsen specifically said that a surprisingly captivating character appears, so he’s not necessarily exactly like Luke Skywalker on The Mandalorian, but this is the kind of thing that the MCU is already very good at. If we trust that he is talking about an unexpected character who stops for a visit, who will he be? Dr. Strange would be an easy choice, as Wanda will be in his next film, but it would not be as interesting as the appearance of Luke Skywalker. Aaron Taylor-Johnson who appears to be Wanda Pietro / Quicksilver’s dead brother would be wild, but the internet seems pretty confident that it will actually be Evan Peters’ version of Quicksilver from Fox X-Men movies that will appear – establishing some sort of connection with that series and MCU now that they’re all under the roof of Disney.

Again, if people expect Evan Peters’ Quicksilver to appear WandaVision, would it really be an interesting revelation just like Luke Skywalker on? The Mandalorian? There is something that could, now that we know how to expect something? Wanda is (sometimes) Magneto’s daughter in comics, so maybe Michael Fassbender could pass? We don’t know, but just thinking about it and throwing out ideas like that risks either ruining it or setting unfairly high expectations, so it really was kind of bad for Olsen to bring this up. .
