Jaime Vaca, a 43-year-old Spanish screenwriter, was arrested last Sunday for possession of various narcotic substances, including ecstasy or popper.
According to “El Mundo”, Vaca, born in the Extremadura region of Spain, was with his friends near a sauna in the Malasaña district of Madrid, where the police have made several interventions in recent weeks.

It seems that Vaca became nervous when the police arrested the group for not wearing masks, which raised suspicions.
And what started as a routine operation for the application of biosecurity measures led to confiscation of drugs that the screenwriter was hiding in his suitcase.
Vaca appears as part of the “staff” of Spanish productions recognized as “Elite” (2019), “Las chicas del cable” (2017) and “Velvet” (2014).
“Las chicas del cable” is the first original series on Netflix Spain.

In Spain, according to the Criminal Code, illegal use and possession of drugs in public places is a crime.
Similarly, in the National Drug Plan of the Ministry of Health, possession of harmful substances such as cocaine, heroin or ecstasy is considered a general deficiency and can lead to 3 to 6 years in prison and a fine of three times the value of the drug.
It is not yet known what the legal consequences will be for Vaca.
