EasyDNS starts accepting Dogecoin as payment

Dogecoin seems to be riding the wave. On Saturday, he saw another person take the easyDNS form, who became the first registrar of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to accept cryptocurrency as a method of payment. In a statement, the Canadian company said: “Continuing our tradition of pioneering cryptocurrencies, we now accept DOGE payments for all services.” The blog post stated that they were the first to embrace the various cryptocurrencies that are currently thriving in the market.

The post added: “I was the first ICANN registrar to accept Bitcoin, the first to accept Ethereum, the first to accept Litecoin and now … DOGE.” This is a big gain for the cryptocurrency that has grown rapidly in the market this week.

The company also conducted a friendly probe at Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, who was a passionate supporter of digital currency. BLOGS included a tweet from him and said, “Remember who was there first, again (and it wasn’t this guy).”

Dogecoin has grown by almost 400% in the last week, thanks to cryptic and unencrypted tweets by Musk.

With this, easyDNS joins the list of companies that have warmed up to Dogecoin in the recent past. One of the first to do so was billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban, who has announced In March, his NBA Dallas Mavericks franchise would accept Dogecoin as payment for tickets and merchandise.

On April 14, the Cuban offered a message to his followers on Twitter Update about how it was going. “FYI, Mavs’ sales in Dogecoin have increased by 550% in the last month. Now I have sold more than 122k Doge in merchandise! We will never sell a single Doge ever, “he said.

Dogecoin found additional acceptance when cryptocurrency ATM provider CoinFlip made digital currency available for purchase at 1,800 ATMs in 46 US states.

The adult entertainment site PornHub has also added Dogecoin to the list of cryptocurrencies it supports along with Bitcoin, Ethereum, among others.

So far, Dogecoin seems to be following in the footsteps of its successful predecessor, Bitcoin. This year, Bitcoin reached the front page when Musk decided to accept it as a form of payment to his company Tesla. Sharing the news, the tech billionaire wrote, “Now you can buy a Tesla with Bitcoin.” He added: “Tesla only uses internal and open source software and operates Bitcoin nodes directly.”

Musk also said that the option to pay Bitcoin for people outside the US will be available later this year.
