EA does most of it FIFA money from the Ultimate Team mode of the game, where fans spend real money trying to unlock the elite players. Today, it is claimed that these things profitable are sold privately to users by EA Sports employees.

Using the hashtag #EAGATE, claims were made that someone in the EA had sold FIFA Prime Icon Moment players for huge amounts of money such as 1000 EUR (1190 USD) for two players.

There is a lot of money, but there is people there who both take FIFA very serious and spending thousands on Ultimate Team packages just trying to unlock elite players so you can eliminate the random factor and get the best players directly is not as terrible a business as you might think.

When the complaints first appeared, it was difficult to analyze which they were legitimate and they were just … the same white noise that the FIFA community is always able to make when it comes to its anxiety relationship with developer EA Sports.

However, some of the Screencaps appeared scary:

Affected enough that Iland on the day, EA he acknowledged the allegations, issuing a statement saying “an in-depth investigation is underway and, if we identify misconduct, we will take swift action”.

“We want to be clear – this type of behavior is unacceptable and in no way do we accept what is supposed to have happened here. We understand how this raises concerns about the unfair balance in the game and competition. ”
