Dwayne Johnson brings his mother Ata to play the ukulele on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon

Dwayne Johnson appeared in a virtual interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, but his mother Ata Johnson stole the show.

The Rock was promoting its new NBC series Young Rock, debuting on February 16, when Fallon mentioned that he did not know that Johnson’s mother was playing the ukulele, as he saw in a video that Johnson recently posted.

The 48-year-old action star caught Fallon bringing Ata to the room and making her play two songs on the ukulele for him.

Fallon mentioned that he saw a video on Johnson’s Instagram, where they were at the graves of his grandparents in Hawaii.

The host of the show mentioned that she did not know that Ata played the ukulele, and while Johnson first tried to explain that he did, he only decided to bring her to the room.

Johnson told his mother he wanted her to “say hello to someone he knew” when he saw Fallon on screen.

When asked if he remembers what he did, Fallon said he remembered, “sitting on the ground, pretending I was fainting,” which Ata said, “It was wonderful.”

She added that she “had the most fun that night” with Fallon and the mother of Johnson’s wife, Lauren Hashian.

When asked about the video, Ata said that “every time we go to Hawaii, we go to visit my parents, yes.”

Then he continued to sing the popular Samoan song Savalivali Means Go for a Walk for Fallon, which was impressive enough.

He even said he had another song, Johnson joked, “What do you mean you have another?” as he continued to sing an impromptu song about Fallon.
