SANTO DOMINGO.- The government of the Dominican Republic increased the prices of almost all fuels this Friday between 90 cents and $ 2.20 RD.

The Department of Industry, Trade and Mipymes (MICM) reported that the increases were due to the rise in the price of crude oil in the United States, which was affected by the start of mass vaccinations against COVID-19.

“The average of a barrel of oil in the week ended was $ 1.40 over the previous week, equivalent to 3.06%, with its impact on distillate prices in the local market,” he explained.

Prices

In the week of December 19-25, regular gasoline will be sold at 200.90 and premium at 213.70, for an increase of 1.90 and 2.20 per gallon, respectively.

The gallon of ordinary diesel will increase by 2.90 to be quoted at 164.70, and the Optimum by 176.00, increasing by 2.20 pesos per gallon.

Liquefied gas will sell for 119.70, up 0.90 pesos per gallon.

Natural gas maintains its price of 28.97 per cubic meter.
