DrLupo raises more than $ 2 million for cancer research in one day

Twitch streamer Ben “DrLupo” Lupo announced today that he managed to raise $ 2,307,106.57 over the past day for St. John’s Children’s Research Hospital. Jude. The fundraising flow of the personality, known as Build Against Cancer, proved to be another thrilling success in what was now the third tranche.

Build Against Cancer has been running since 2018 and is an event that sees DrLupo streaming non-stop for 24 hours looking to raise as much money as possible for cancer research. This year’s iteration, which began yesterday, December 19, saw a number of guests crossing the stream. Some of the most notable appearances included guest spots from Jordan Fisher, Robbie Amell, Mark Hoppus, Felicia Day and many more. DrLupo himself has played a lot of popular games on the stream, including All the boys, Among us, and Minecraft to name a few.

Just about an hour before Build Against Cancer was completed, it seems that DrLupo may not have reached his goal of reaching $ 2 million, but Twitch had other plans. Just like last year, Twitch entered the final moments of the stream to announce that it will again contribute $ 1 million in total to Build Against Cancer. DrLupo himself was unaware that this was sweating and became quite emotional once he learned about the development.

So far, DrLupo has now managed to raise nearly $ 10 million in these Build Against Cancer flows, which is incredible. Twitch’s check sent it to DrLupo to surprise him with an Easter egg contents that contained the amount the streamer had managed to grow in the past. Now, that total will have to incorporate the new $ 2.3 million figure that was raised this weekend.

The last DrLupo event showed how positive and uplifting the gaming community can be when it unites in a single cause. Not to mention, seeing DrLupo continuously using his final platform in this way is encouraging. Tell him that he has continued to have a major impact on the lives of many each year.
