“I had the same concerns that every health care provider had, which was one, am I going to get infected? But more importantly, am I going to infect my family?” Tiffany Osborn said.
BJC doctor Tiffany Osborn has taken extreme measures to protect her family from coronavirus, bought a camper to live in to keep her isolated.
Osborn is an emergency and intensive care physician who has lived in her RV for the past year. She said it was a decision she and her family made to stop the disease from coming into their home.
Osborn said he would work three consecutive weeks, with no days off, so he could isolate himself for a few days, be tested and see his family just a few days before returning to the hospital.
Now, after a full year, she has finally reunited with her family. “It took a while to transition, but once we came back, it was fantastic,” Osborn said. “I mean, it was great to have the opportunity to really experience that we’re together again consistently.”
Osborne said being with her family again would not have been possible without the COVID-19 vaccine. She said that the only way we can get back to normal is to get those photos.
