Dr. Drew Pinsky has tested positive for COVID-19 and is recovering at home.
According to an Instagram post sent to his account on Tuesday, Pinsky’s wife, Susan, gave negative results.
“Happy New Year with some Hydralyte for Covid-19. Drew tested positive on the 4th day and @firstladyoflove is negative “, the message read.
Pinsky “feels better,” according to the post.
“Drew is at home, surviving and the fever is down. “Drew is feeling better and hopefully he will be well soon,” the message concluded.
In a separate video posted on Tuesday on his Instagram page also Pinsky addressed a previous tweet which drew anger on social media over the “Wishing for Covid” line.
“I posted on Twitter that I want a positive COVID test, because I had this terrible acute febrile illness and I tested negative, and if I didn’t have COVID, I had acute lymphocytic leukemia, which I didn’t want to have because it’s the only one. which would do what was happening to me, “Pinsky said.
“And so COVID would explain everything nicely and we have so many good treatments now for COVID, I was hoping for that and I look forward to immunity on the other side of this,” he continued.
Months, Pinsky originally wrote on Twitter: “After three days of fever and the Zelenko protocol plus steroids, feeling better and getting another test for the flu and Covid! Good times. I want Covid because this virus is not fun. Stay well, wear a mask! “
The radio personality also caught the moment when he took the COVID-19 test.
Earlier this year, Pinsky came under fire after comparing the coronavirus to the flu.
“My early comments about the association of coronavirus with influenza were wrong. They were wrong, “Pinsky said in April.
There have been 19.4 million cases of coronavirus in the United States and 336,000 deaths.
