Former Finance Minister Donald Guerrero said on Monday that he will have to return for the third time to the Public Ministry, where he was heard at the Special Prosecutor for the Criminal Investigation of Administrative Corruption (Pepca).
The appointment is scheduled for next Wednesday, at four in the afternoon.
Upon leaving the institution, Guerrero said that the inquiries were related to the issue of transparency and, given his status as a former official, he must be available to answer any errors.
“I have come to answer some questions that, as a former government official, must be ready to explain any question that arises in the context of transparency,” said the former finance minister.
As agreed, Guerrero arrived at the attorney general’s office on Monday at 3 p.m., so the interview, directed by Yeni Berenice Reynoso, the prosecutor’s director general of persecution and Chief Pepca Wilson Camacho, lasted about three hours.
The former minister, who was accompanied by three legal representatives, was questioned about the amounts contained in the statement he submitted for the assets presented for RD $ 768,321,216 and the management of resources during his term in the Ministry of Finance.
The first interrogation was last Friday and he was suspended for the commitments that the former official had.
Donald Guerrero was Minister of Finance from 2016-2020 and is a member of the Central Committee of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).

Another one-time quote was the interim president of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Juan Temístocles Montás, who asked to be asked about the “obstacles” that political party would pose. in the audit activity of the Chamber of Accounts on the funds received by the Central Electoral Council (JCE) during 2012 and 2016.
The Attorney General of the Republic, Miriam Germán Brito, had said that he did not know the reasons why PLD had to obstruct the activity of the Chamber of Accounts, but announced that the Public Ministry already has an ongoing investigation in this regard. On that occasion, Montás came out of the basement and could not be approached by the press.
