Greet the new couple of assassins.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Donald Glover will star in a remake of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith, ”the 2005 film starring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
The project with New Regency and Amazon Studios in collaboration with writer Francesca Sloane will reach Amazon Prime Video in 2022, according to Glover.
The project was announced on Instagram – pandemic, literally. Waller-Bridge, 35, wore pajamas to film himself hitting a picture on a door – the same leg lift that 45-year-old Jolie did for the movie poster and promotional materials. Glover, 37, filmed a bit of himself using dental floss – dancing, not dental routine – to celebrate.
The videos, which came from Glover’s Instagram Stories, were also reposted by Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios.

This marks Glover for the second time, whose music scene name is Childish Gambino, and Waller-Bridge will star in a film together. The duo previously starred in “Solo: A Star Wars Story” in 2018, alongside Glover as a young Lando Calrissian and Waller-Bridge as the voice of L3-37.
“Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” with Jolie and Pitt, who saw the real-life couple, who met and fell in love on set, as secret assassins from competing agencies who, without he knows, to receive each other, it was a box office that earned nearly $ 500 million worldwide.Pitt and Jolie filed for divorce in 2016.
