LUV by Fresh Directions, the North American registry of the MACAPI Group, took first place in the Southern Exposure 2021 organized by the prestigious Southeast Produce Council and brings together most of the fruit and vegetable processing, importing, and packaging companies in the United States.
The company showcased its extensive line that ranges from fresh produce; Hass & Tropical Avocados, on its retail line of guacamole and fruit pulp, at the event in Orlando, Florida.
With an intricately woven branding strategy around the idea of ”May the LUV Be With You”, viewers were drawn to the upbeat music on the booth and pitahaya Lemonade display. “Where can I find this? I need this drink in my life,” said many, surprised by the richness of flavor and freshness of the LUV concoction, pitahaya pulp and lemonade.
“Baby Yoda pin with LUV’s signature Hass avocado was the talk of the expo. It is of course not surprising that LUV was awarded the number one prize for the best decorated stand, ”they emphasize.
The Castillo Lora family (MACAPI Group) has been growing avocados for over 30 years and exporting all over the world. Fresh Directions is the importer of avocado and fruit products for the Macapi Group, based in Miami, Florida.
Manuel and Sabrina Castillo, two of the five brothers in the Castillo family, manage all operations in the United States and bring Hass avocados to the American market.
In addition, Fresh Directions markets a variety of tropical avocados in the United States, including Semil and Carla; processed avocado pulp, guacamole and fruit pulp.
