NEW YORK (AP) – Doja Cat opted for neon feathers and a motorcycle-inspired look with a zipper to the end, and Cynthia Erivo stunned in a shiny silver dress with gold accents by Louis Vuitton at the Grammy, as the sea Music night provided a luxurious fashion moment for the stars.

Dressed in Roberto Cavalli, Doja’s revealing look included zippered cat claws on each arm and a feathered skirt.

Joanie Leeds, winner of the best children’s music album, did something similar away from home in New York.

“Actually, we created a step and a repetition and a red carpet,” she told reporters during a virtual press conference before the show. “We all went on the red carpet and we had a photographer here and we took some very good pictures.”

Leeds wore a dress with multicolored sequins by Nicole Miller and slipped her silver heels to show them to the room.

“Just because we’re virtual this year, I wasn’t going to wear my hooded sweatshirt,” said Leeds, a Grammy Award winner.

Due to pandemic precautions, the “red carpet” was not the usual mass of TV cameras and crews. Several outlets were allowed on the spot to conduct live interviews – at a safe distance.

Nandi Howard, fashion editor associated with Essence, praised the stylish moments offered by Megan and DaBaby.

“I’m looking forward to seeing D&G work more with hip-hop artists. Megan looked so regal in her orange dress, and tonight she put on her outfit effortlessly. I hope to see her in fashion more often. She wears it very well, “she said.

Howard also offered congratulations to Lizzo, who shone in a pink mermaid look to present an award and earlier wore a short strapless sea foam dress from Balmain. It dripped into Bulgarian jewelry.

“We normally see avant-garde dresses at the Grammys, but it’s up to Lizzo to change them in the best way,” Howard said.

Jacob Collier said he went for comfort in a Stella McCartney floral blouse.

“I’ve never been asked about clothes,” he said. “I feel like a rock star.”

In Dundas, HER rocked a burgundy gown in the middle of his leg with matching wide-legged trousers.
