Does it protect American discipline? Investigate the arbitration error

Disciplinary commission announced that it has opened an investigation procedure for the events that took place in the Atlas vs America match. It is based on “the provisions of Articles 74, 84 and 85 of the Sanctions Regulation”, the statement said. But these quoted articles do not talk about “misalignment”, as everyone would think, but about “manifest error of arbitration” and how to formulate the request for investigation.

Rule 74 reads as follows: It shall be the responsibility of the Disciplinary Board:
a) Correct, at the request of a party, MANIFESTS OF ERRORS IN WHICH THE REFEREE MAY TAKE DISCIPLINARY DECISIONS.

For the purposes of this regulation, there is a manifestly erroneous decision by the referee when it is shown that the referee, as a result of an error, has punished a wrong player with expulsion from the field of play or has adopted a wrong decision which is obviously direct and / or indirect red card. The Disciplinary Committee may also correct material calculation errors at any time.

Manifest errors incurred by the referee to the detriment of the interests of the club may be reported to the Disciplinary Board, providing for this purpose the appropriate evidence that reliably demonstrates the error in accordance with the above definition.

In the case of the regular phase, once the clubs receive the referee’s report, they can submit their complaint no later than 13:00 on the day following the day on which the match ended. If the deadline expires on Saturday or Sunday, the Club will have until 13:00 the following Monday to present it “.

Only the Club that has reported a manifest error to the Disciplinary Board in accordance with this subsection may appeal to the Board of Appeal.

b) Punishes the actions performed by the Players when they are in the case of Article 23 of these Regulations (which speaks of injuries during the match).

c) Punishes the violent conduct of a player whom the referee and / or the commissioner had not noticed and who said that the Commission is sure that it has been committed.

d) Will have the power to hear serious cases involving those covered by this Regulation, in particular animation groups, and that both the referee and the match commissioner have not warned and that the Commission is sure that they have happened before? , during and / or after the match and which do not correspond to the disciplinary decisions that the Referee adopts in the course of the 90 minutes of the match on the pitch.
