Answer:. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), experts are still studying how long the vaccine-induced immunity lasts.

Vaccines produced by Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna have been approved by the FDA for emergency use. Both vaccines require the receipt of two doses, 21 days apart, to achieve a maximum efficacy of approximately 95%.

According to NBC News chief medical officer Dr. John Torres, vaccine-induced immunity is expected to last several years; however, more research is needed to determine the longevity of its effectiveness.
