Disney + needs to bring back some agents of the SHIELD characters

Shield agents it may have ended in 2020, but that won’t stop this super fan from writing about it until 2021 and beyond. As long as the higher powers here on ComicBook.com allow me, I’ll make hype Shield agents and his characters until they die (or I don’t work here anymore, whichever comes first). Now that WandaVision premiered on Disney +, started an exciting new era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We are about to get a long awaited list of series as well The hawk and the winter soldier and Loki with several shows like that Hawkeye currently in production. While Shield agents had the perfect referral, I firmly believe that some of the characters in the show deserve to reappear on Disney +.

Before we begin, it should be noted that this is not a canonical debate. While standing next to that Shield agents is canon MCU and will base some of my arguments around this fact, no really it matters. We’re supposed to get Charlie Cox’s Daredevil next Spider Man film and Jarvis from James D’Arcy from Agent Carter has already appeared in Avengers: Endgame. Why can’t he Shield agents do people have the same privilege? Especially since it’s the only Marvel show that has been offered a complete, well-rounded course.

It should also be noted that the most recent episode of WandaVision advertised a soap called “Hydra Soak”, which felt like a direct reference to You have agents SHIELDFrame spring. For now, I refuse to believe that this was just a coincidence. If WandaVision makes reference You have agents SHIELD, my hopes are high that Disney + could incorporate some of the characters.

Please be warned, Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and Leopold Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) are not included in this list. As much as I love them and want to see more about Henstridge and De Caestecker on TV, I think their characters deserve their happy ending in retirement. Forgive me, my fellow FitzSimmons lovers! However, here are a few more Shield agents the characters I want to see appear on Disney + …

Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet)

Of all Shield agents characters, bringing back Daisy Johnson AKA Quake makes the most sense. Not only is this wonderful Inhuman a huge part of comics, but I last saw her lead a team in space (Speaking of which, let’s get Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) and Kora (Dianne Doan) back! ).

While Shield agents I couldn’t use the title SWORD (we’re still laughing at “Astro Ambassadors”), it’s very clear that Daisy, her husband and her sister are in space doing SWORDly tasks. We already know that SWORD is coming into play WandaVision, and we also know that a Secret Invasion The series comes to Disney + with Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Ben Mendelsohn (Talos) in the lead roles. Nick Fury is in space. Daisy is in space. Let them meet!

Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie (Henry Simmons)

Into the Shield agents Finally, we learn that Mack has retained his position as director of SHIELD. We know SHIELD is back in the game Hawkeyeand it would be nice if Mack officially kept the title in the MCU. We still don’t know what Nick Fury is doing in space, but we have a feeling he’s currently focusing on SWORD, especially since Talos and Soren (Sharon Blynn) still present themselves as Fury and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) on Earth. Mack also has his own helicarrier! Let the man use it!

Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen)

Speaking of SHIELD and Hawkeye, Wen has already stated that he would like to appear in the Disney + series. Agent Melinda May is one of the worst people to ever give the SHIELD logo, and I last saw her teaching at Coulson Academy. It would be great to see more of the Academy in general (“Seeds” is an underrated episode of Season 1 that shows a closer look at the agents who are preparing. I’ve always wanted to see more of the young talent). Wen might be busy playing Fennec Shand in the Star Wars world, but he could at least save us a cameo. By no means did May and Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) intersect before. He could use it!

Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez (Natalia Cordova-Buckley)

Speaking of extremely talented inhumans, who are also comic book characters, I last saw Yo-Yo still working for SHIELD in the field with Agent Piper (Briana Venskus) and Agent LMD Davis (Maximilian Osinski). Like Mack and May, Hawkeye makes the most sense with the SHIELD connection, but Secret invasion it could also be a great place to showcase Elena’s special abilities. Heck, put her in Ea-Hulk or Mrs. Marvel… There is no reason why Yo-Yo could not participate in the fight in any Disney + show.

Bobbi “Mockingbird” Morse (Adrianne Palicki)

We all know that Palicki and Nick Blood (Lance Hunter) got a gross deal when they left Shield agents for their own spin-off, Most wanted Marvel. The show was never aired, and Palicki was never seen again as Bobbi (however, we got a lovely last episode with Blood as Hunter). Mockingbird is another Marvel Comics base, and fans have said they want to see more of it in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again … Secret invasion it’s RIGHT THERE!

Deke Shaw (Jeff Ward)

I am 100% willing to admit that this choice is completely biased because of my relentless love for Deke Shaw. Does this request really make sense? Questionable! The last time I saw Deke in the 1980s was in an alternative reality, both as a rock god and as the head of SHIELD (honestly, this is a whole show that I would watch on my own). Deke had a perfect ending, but I’m greedy and I want more!

It’s pretty obvious that the MCU is about to get serious with the multiverse of movies like that Spider-Man 3 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Not to mention the fact that Loki follows the version of Loki (Tom Hiddleston) who escaped in Avengers: Endgame, creating another new reality. I would give anything to see Loki swinging through a Deke Squad concert through his interdimensional journeys.

Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg)

This is a much more realistic request, because I don’t think anyone is ready to see the end of Gregg’s days in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s been around since 2008 Iron Man, and it’s time to learn that the Avengers were still alive (well, a bit). However, if you are determined to stay with Coulson dead as a canon (rude!), I will bring it up again. Loki.

Once God of Mischief rises to his last round of sleeves, it would make a lot of sense to see him face to face with the man he once killed. Loki has done a lot of unforgivable things over the years, but killing Coulson was definitely number one.

Hope to see one Shield agents characters from a Disney + series? Which? Tell us your opinions in the comments!

All seven seasons of Shield agents are currently streaming on Netflix.
