Warner Bros. Pictures today released a new promotional trailer about its somewhat controversial decision to bring all 2021 movies to theaters and HBO Max at the same time, which includes a bunch of new movies from a variety of movies and includes the upcoming The deadly beating restart the movie. Although it has the same small clip that we saw before, the new bits included in this latest trailer seem to feature Sonya Blade, Scorpio and Sub-Zero.
Although by no means a complete trailer, as it was recently teased for February, it is a pretty nice look at some snippets of action and special effects. A brief look at Scorpio also seems to show him fighting what might be members of the Lin Kuei clan, the faction to which he historically belongs and Sub-Zero. Also, Sonya Blade actually says the words “Mortal Kombat”, which is always wonderful.
This year each @WBPictures the film will be in theaters and will be broadcast exclusively on HBO Max.

“MMA fighter Cole Young, used to fighting for money, doesn’t know about his legacy – or why Outworld Emperor Shang Tsung sent his best warrior, Sub-Zero, a Cryomancer from another world, to hunt down Cole. Fearing for the safety of his family. , Cole goes in search of Sonya Blade in the direction of Jax, a Special Forces major who wears the same strange dragon with which Cole was born. Soon, he finds himself in the temple of Lord Raiden, an older God and protector of Earthrealm. , which grants sanctuary to those who bear the sign. Here, Cole trains with experienced warriors Liu Kang, Kung Lao and the rogue mercenary Kano, as he prepares to stand with the greatest champions of Earth against Outworld enemies in a high-stakes battle for the universe. The deadly beating The restart movie is currently scheduled to appear on April 16 on both HBO Max and theaters. The cast includes Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpio, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Sisi Stringer as Mileena and Lewis Tan as the new character Cole Young.
