This weekend, February 27, the Pokémon series celebrates 25 years since the release of the original Game Boy titles.
Rumors have already surfaced and now the official Pokémon Twitter account seems to be joining the fun. Currently, it does a countdown with different generations of pocket monsters. With four days left, the following tweet was distributed, saying “Come on, Sinnoh”.
Despite the fact that the same account referred to other games and generations of Pokémon in the daily countdown, this particular tweet did some quite excited fans.
The Sinnoh region was first introduced in the fourth generation Pokémon Diamond & Pearl for the Nintendo DS.
If you forgot, last month, Spanish Centro Pokémon fans would have confirmed that the Switch remakes of the DS Pokémon Diamond & Pearl titles were in development and would be revealed around Pokémon Day, on February 27th.
“Pokémon Center can confirm that, according to sources close to the company, the Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl remakes, originally released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS, are under development for the Nintendo Switch.”
A much older rumor dating back to 2019 suggested that the remakes of Diamond and Pearl would have “let’s catch” (the grip mechanic first introduced in Pokémon: Let’s go Games).
If it is not already enough, it appears Poké Ball Plus, first released alongside Let’s Go games, receives a timely reissue:
Keep in mind that we’re only a few days away from Pokémon’s 25th anniversary, so if there are such announcements, you won’t have to wait long. What do you think about this? Leave a comment below.
