Devil May Cry Creator teases the next game

After release Devil May Cry 5 back in 2019 and a new one Special edition from the action title for the latest generation platforms just a few months ago, the game’s director is now teasing what follows. Although he did not directly reveal what the Capcom development team is working on, it sounds as if some kind of announcement could appear soon.

In a new post on Twitter, Hideaki Itsuno from Capcom released a new image and statement to celebrate the new year. Itsuno began tweeting by begging players to give the new Vergil DLC for Devil May Cry 5 a blow, if they haven’t done it yet, mentioning what will happen in the future. The beloved video game creator said that his team’s next project seems to be being developed in parallel with DMC5 and for the time being it is still on the right track. Itsuno ended his tweet by saying that this future game is still quite far away, but he asked the fans to be happy with the future revelation.

Obviously, the big question here involves exactly what Itsuno and the Capcom team are working on now. Although there is no blatant teasing in this tweet, we have some decent assumptions about what could follow next based on what has happened in recent years.

Dogma of the Dragon 2, a sequel to the 2012 action-adventure title that Itsuno directed, seems to be the most likely candidate for what is to come. In the past, Itsuno has specifically clarified that it has wanted to continue the game for some time and has almost chosen to do so instead of developing. Devil May Cry 5. In addition, previous reports in recent months have argued that Capcom is already actively developing Dogma of the Dragon 2.

Although it remains to be seen if this is what Capcom is creating, as Itsuno suggests, it may be a while before we put it in our hands. Given that this game also becomes certain that it will not reach the latest hardware and will be made exclusively for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and PC.

So you expect Itsuno and the rest of the Capcom team to be active Dogma of the Dragon 2, or could this be another project entirely? Tell me your opinions in the comments below or contact me on Twitter at @ MooreMan12 to talk more.
