Bayonet 3 continues to be the game that many Nintendo fans claim to hear more about. After more than three years of silence, no major information about the upcoming action game has been revealed outside of its original reveal trailer. Fortunately, if everything ends well this year, this trend should change.
In a recent recent interview, PlatinumGames’ Hideki Kamiya spoke about Bayonet 3 a little and teased the fans when they could finally find out more. Kamiya was asked about the status of current Platinum projects to which he then brought the third installment of the action series. “Well, I guess … I’ve been working on new things like that Bayonet 3“Not that I could say too much,” Kamiya said. “But I hope we can provide an update throughout the year.”
Kamiya went on to say that he also hopes that Platinum can update fans on some unannounced projects that the studio is working on as well. He admitted that he probably shouldn’t have even mentioned this last point, but he still threw it there. “The point is – I’m trying to do a lot of things this year,” he said.
Even though there aren’t many things to leave here yet Bayonet 3, it is at least good to know that the game reaches a point where those who lead to Platinum entertain their idea of showing more to the public. Obviously, developers around the world have had a much harder time with their work in the last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which could have played a role in why nothing has been shown in the game recently.
If updates occur Bayonet 3, it looks like we’ll hear more in a Nintendo Direct presentation. At this time, Nintendo has not yet announced any plans to hold one of these showcases in 2021. That being said, Nintendo’s last Direct took place until October, so we may be in line to get one in soon.
