The moon was finally added Destiny 2 in 2019, but last year’s Beyond Light update has become obsolete. Bungie plans to fix this next season by re-releasing some of his old equipment with a new infusion cap in the studio’s continuous dance to try to get the progress of the game right.
Bungie presented the specifics of these changes, which will be introduced at the beginning of the season 13 on February 9, in this week’s blog post. Here is a brief description of the changes, which also apply to the Dream City, added in 2018 leave expansion:
Reissued Dreaming City Reverie Dawn and Moon Dreambane Armor.
Remitted 4 weapons for Dreaming City with new Perk Pools.
- Waking Vigil, Sleepless, Vouchsafe and Retold Tale.
- Dreaming City weapons that fall into the Shattered Throne dungeon can run with benefits that are not available from drops from other reward sources.
Remitted 4 weapons for the Moon with new Perk Pools.
- Premonition (only the pit of heresy), heretical, blasphemous and apostate.
- Weapons that fall into the Pit of Heresy dungeon can run with benefits that are not available from drops from other sources of reward.
Beyond the Light has changed a lot in Destiny 2, not only get rid of some of the game’s basic locations and story campaigns, but also get the old pieces out of the loot. Vtake a new sunset system, it shows how powerful weapons and armor can be to channel players to a smaller, easier-to-manage fund and, from Bungie’s perspective, more sustainable. After a lot of complaints that the booty fund has become too small, Bungie has tried to build it again since then, but some of the waysTrying to do so seems to undermine the simplicity behind the sunset in the first place.

On the one hand, the above are welcome changes, but on the other hand I’m not sure why it wasn’t done from the beginning. This is actually an old prey that was remixed and added to the game after all the original versions became useless through the new infusion lid. Players who have spent the last few months playing leave and Shadowkeep for the first time they won all the equipment for the sunset, although both expansions still cost money (rather than being included in Beyond the Light).
The old equipment is also missing for some reason. “In order to become more specific about the actual experience, the activities in which reissues are purchased will be heavily weighted towards rewarding reissued tools than those with lids.–although the exact weighting and mechanisms may differ, ”writes assistant game director Joe Blackburn. “For example: in the Dream City, if you’ve already got an infusion weapon, it won’t escape for you again.” Why do infusion tools decrease?
Bungie also restores Crucible and Gambit progress. Instead of collecting chips, players will rank at any of the vendors, just as any other would, getting hits at each rank and additional craft materials at specific intervals. Basically, Shaxx and Drifter will offer their own mini-season permits. This seems to me a better system than the current one based on symbols, but partly only because Bungie did it slowly, much less full of satisfaction than it would otherwise be. Reward kits from handing over chips drop to significantly lower power levels than existing equipment and also draw from an extremely narrow group of equipment that most players already have.
New progressions will make the chips obsolete, so players are encouraged to transform them all now before the start of next season. In practice, this means having problems with some menus, in exchange for a toolkit of tens and tens, which has an advantage or a state roll that deserves to be hung. Again, it seems to me that Bungie would solve another problem of his own.
But wait, I’m still! Nerfs to certain Stasis abilities in PVP are also on the way. Added in Beyond Light, the subclass Stasis, which revolves around freezing ice crystals and breaks into extremely strong and satisfying ways, bothered Crucible because of how strong it can be in competitive play. Update 3.0.2, which will be released on January 19, wdoes not significantly affect the range and damage of Shatter Dive and Whisper of Fissures abilities.
Long-term, Bungie says thatThe goal is to make the subclasses more balanced on all levels and also to reign in the ability to make the game of arms a more efficient and viable means of competing in PVP. “We are still in very early discussions, but we are looking to restore a better balance, if a proper weapon game is satisfactory in these playlists,” writes battle leader Tomonori Kinoshita.
It’s three weeks before the start of next season, and Bungie is set to preview more changes in future blog posts. Let’s hope they show areas where Destiny 2 it will continue to grow, rather than simply fix its past mistakes.
